Our first Gig on our upcoming tour of Japan is a doozy. It is at a fantastic looking Tokyo club called Zher the Zoo in the Yoyogi neighborhood. Yoyogi is part of the Shibuya Ward and is right next to Harajuku, so we should be able to do lots of sight-seeing and people-watching and then get over to the club for our gig. Many of our very favorite bands have played at Zher the Zoo in the past, and in fact check out this awesome spread of Bleach playing there from smashingmag. The event name will be “Talk about love with American Hamburger.” I’m not really certain what that means, or even what an event name is, but you can bet we will do our best to be the beef. I’m not certain of the order, but in addition to Lick Lick there will be two of our very favorite bands.

Our best friends THE EMERALDS, who have been extremely kind and helpful in making this tour happen, and who rock and roll party every night, are on the bill (and will be coming through texas this fall — please go be their myspace friend, and we’ll all go see them).THE EMERALDS

Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re is just awesome – easily one of my top five favorite bands – i can’t believe we get to play with them twice this fall, much less in Tokyo!!!

Also on the bill is a great band called Clara Bell – I haven’t seen them, but they are super fun to listen to.

I don’t know who this band is, but this is a live performance at Zher the Zoo. I’m so excited I want to cry.

Please come see us tonight at Room 710 for their anniversary, and wish us luck!

Would that we could be Texas-sized cockroaches in your suitcase! (If you find any, don’t squash them…and don’t let your new Japanese friends, either!)

We are so excited for you all. Please take loads of pictures and video… we’ll be looking forward to the slideshow of one of our favorite Texas rockbands touring Japan!

Go Team LickLick!!!
